The Seacoast Chief Fire Officers Association meets the first Thursday of each month except July and August

 

SEACOAST CHIEF FIRE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION

MINUTES OF MEETING OF MARCH 1, 2007

The regular monthly meeting of the Seacoast Chief Fire Officers Association was called to order by President Chief Chris LeClaire at 7:06 pm at the Epping fire station. Eleven communities were represented.

Following the salute to the flag, the president asked for a moment of silence for departed firefighters. 

Chief Brian Toomire welcomed the group to Epping with a very brief description of his town and department. 

It was moved, seconded and voted to waive the reading of the minutes of the February meeting, the report having been previously forwarded to the membership by electronic mail.

The report of the treasurer was read and accepted.

No correspondence. 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: 

START: Chief Comeau distributed copies of the annual report for 2006 and announced a 10% increase in the 2007 budget for START. 

FUND RAISER: Get sponsors. 

LEGISLATIVE: Chief LeClaire reported that a hearing on Michael’s law will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2007 at 1:00pm. 

BY-LAWS: Harry needs computer help. Hampton’s IT person will be asked to assist. 

FEDERATION OF MUTUAL AID: Carl Roediger. Annual meeting in May. More later. 

LOGO: Ralph Cresta passed around samples of a logo and asked to have one selected.                                   

AIR TRAILERS: Dead battery on the Rye trailer has been corrected. 

MIRT: Seventy Five people signed up so far for the Marina Fire seminar. 

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT: No report 

OLD BUSINESS: 

Peter Hoyt will remove the hose coupling machine from North Hampton station.

NEW BUSINESS:

The interagency drill scheduled for April has been cancelled. 

The CST team is showing up without being called, wanted or needed. 

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER:

The secretary reported on the ambulance situation with Fire and Navistar involved in litigation and the diesel engine that will no longer be available in the E-450 chassis. 

The motion to adjourn was heard at 8:14pm.
